Milbemax, a powerful and broad-spectrum anthelmintic tablet, stands as an effective deworming solution for dogs. This oral treatment is designed to combat various intestinal worms, including whipworms, roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Notably, Milbemax's unique formula also provides protection against harmful heartworm infections. Its monthly dosage is safe for dogs of all breeds and sizes, making it suitable for use in breeding, pregnant, and lactating dogs.
How does Milbemax work?
Milbemax contains two active ingredients: Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime disrupts nerve transmission in intestinal parasites, leading to their eventual demise. The parasites are then naturally eliminated from the host.
Praziquantel, the second active ingredient, induces muscle spasms in tapeworms. This action, coupled with enzymatic attacks, causes the tapeworms to disintegrate in the host animal's digestive system. It effectively targets and eliminates all types of tapeworms except Spirometra spp. As a result, Milbemax's unique formulation provides comprehensive protection against intestinal worm infections and heartworm infections in dogs.
Ingredient:
Each Tablet contains 2.5 mg Milbemycin Oxime and 25 mg PraziquantelInstructions:
For puppies, Milbemax should be administered every 2 weeks starting from 2 weeks of age and continuing until they reach 12 weeks of age. Following this initial phase, the treatment frequency should be adjusted to once a month until the puppies are at least 6 months old. For adult dogs and puppies over 6 months, it is recommended to provide treatment for intestinal worms at least every 3 months. Additionally, a monthly dosage is advised for preventing heartworm infections. To ensure accurate dosing, it's essential to weigh your dog and adhere to the dosage guidelines provided on the packaging. For optimal effectiveness, administer the treatment on or around the same time every 3 months. Following these guidelines will contribute to the well-being and health of your canine companion.
